Series Summary

The historical melodrama The Tudors is loosely based on the early years of King Henry VIII's reign. The first season follows Henry's foreign policy challenges and pressure to produce a male heir. The second season chronicles Henry break from the Catholic Church and the banishment of Katherine of Aragon. The show takes a few liberties with history, but is still a scandalous and fun take on this notorious king's life and times.
