Series Summary

Stargate Atlantis begins at the cliffhanger of the season finale of Stargate SG-1. Millions of years ago, an advanced race known as the Ancients fled their homeworld to escape a plague. As they seeded worlds throughout the galaxy, the Ancients encountered a terrible enemy called the Wraith. The Ancients were forced to submerge their city, and their knowledge was lost. Now a team of humans and their allies search the galaxy in search of the Ancients' devices to help defend themselves against the Wraith.
