Series Summary

Based on the British series of the same name, Queer as Folk follows the lives of five gay men and a lesbian couple living in Pittsburgh. The show was noted for its frank and honest depiction of homosexual life. The characters must struggle with homophobia, infidelity, drug addiction, and simply accepting themselves for who they are. Queer as Folk was a hit for Showtime for its sharp writing and complex character development.
