Series Summary

The second spin-off of the Law & Order franchise, Law & Order: Criminal Intent is an unusual police procedural. The stories follow the investigations of a division of the NYPD that handles high-profile cases that involve VIPs and local government officials. The show often portrays criminal activities from the lawbreaker's point of view, thereby showing the motivations for crime. Unlike its parent program, Law & Order: Criminal Intent does not feature criminal trials or plea bargaining, usually ending with the culprit's confession.
