Series Summary

Dissatisfied with the initial cinematic version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, writer Josh Whedon created a much darker, dramatic version of the premise for television. Whedon's revision was a smash hit for the WB network, running for seven strong seasons. High school student Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Geller) has no desire to be a Slayer, but she is dragged back to her true calling in haunted Sunnydale. Assisting Buffy is her Scooby Gang, helping her to combat the host of demons, vampires, and forces of evil that menace the town.
