Series Summary

Co-created by Dragnet star Jack Webb, who also produced Emergency!, this long-running police procedural tracks seven-year veteran Los Angeles police officer Peter J. Malloy and rookie partner James A. Reed, a recent police academy graduate, from case to case. Adam-12 found an enthusiastic following through the odd-couple chemistry between the show's likable leads and the way their calls, which were drawn Dragnet-style from actual police files, ranged from the dramatic to the comedic.
