Series Summary

An engrossing drama set in the White House, The West Wing follows the administration of President Josiah Bartlet, a highly-principled, liberal Democrat who must deal with the same urgent issues that face modern American presidents. Many episodes follow President Bartlet through his daily routine, such as passing legislation, suppressing scandals, and confronting hostile foreign powers. The writers consulted with actual White House staffers to give the show its trademark authentic feel.
